The Yoga of Smoothies

Good Afternoon Lovelies,

How is everyone loving this milder weather for Spring? Here in Tennessee it is planting time again.

This winter has been a breakthrough for me health wise.
After many years of struggling with dairy I have finally freed myself of it once and for all. I am lactose intolerant and that means anything I eat that is made from dairy sends me spiraling into a bloated uncomfortable mess. Not to mention eating little processed cakes and snacks (gluten) caused a strange rash every time I ate it that I blamed on my favorite perfume for months. I even stopped using it. Energetically I felt drained after eating these foods.

So to make up for this torture I was on acid reflux pills for over two straight years! I tried to convince myself that it was okay and acceptable to be suffering so much because I love ice cream, butter, and milk.  But clearly nothing was worth this much pain!

So thankfully I moved on to soy and almond milks, coconut water, and a small cup rice milk just before bedtime completely cured my acid reflux! Instead of a heavy carbed out breakfast I enjoy a green smoothie packed with vitamins and a little cutie orange fruit tossed in for sweetness, and it gives me energy straight up till the late afternoon time.

I have lost almost all of the hernia weight and feel amazing.

Do you enjoy green smoothies?

Have you ever tried them?

I can feel the difference in my body when I drink them versus when I don’t.

When I don’t my body is sore, doesn’t want to do yoga or any stretching and when I drink them my body feels more alive and ready to take on the world!

This year I am going to do some stretching while out in the garden.

Have a blessed day.
